Visual Arts Year 5/6, The Year 5/6 students' microscopic landscapes are now on display outside the office near the Foundation rooms. The display is adorned with a blurb about how and why the students made this work and also some photos of real mould we grew in the classroom., Year 3/4, Last week the Year 3/4 students were tasked with sculpting a face from salt dough. The face must show an emotion and will be used in an artwork in the next few weeks. , Year 1/2, The Year 1/2 students are working on mandala drawings which show radial symmetry. Last week they each drew an intricate mandala in lead pencil. These drawing will be photo copied and turned into a colouring book. The students will each be given a copy to take home in the coming weeks. This week the students' ability to create radial symmetry was challenged when they created mandalas which used a shape other than a circle., Foundation, The Foundation students are creating an image of an animal that lives in the Arctic. Last week their task was to research an animal that lives in the Arctic and sculpt it's face from salt dough. The animal faces have now been baked and will soon be painted.
