Journalism at Heathmont 

For almost a year, VCE students have been contributing to the research, writing and editing of articles in the Heathmont Gazette. Recently, the student team behind the Gazette has taken full charge and wishes for more creatives and revolutionaries in the student body to raise their voices. 

We're hoping to set up an email address for anonymous submissions of creative pieces; like poems, short stories, crosswords, cartoon strips, caricatures and more! We'll update the student body with a Compass post as soon as this is operational. 

We're also looking for students who would be interested in investigating, writing and reporting on events for the Gazette. This includes classroom updates, excursions, events, celebrations and funny happenings around the school. Anything that is deemed important by the student body should be able to find in these pages!

Our central planning team is also hoping for more permanent contributors to the newsletter. We currently meet in A6 once a month or more if necessary to plan and write articles. If anyone is interested in joining us, a Compass post will soon be going out  about the date of the next meeting.
