Mentor group

Hi, my name is Tyler Volpe I’m a year 7 ambassador I was sent on a mission to find out what the house leaders have in store for mentor groups all around the school. 

Mentor group is a time to mingle with the higher year levels, but every student should remember the goals of mentor group.

On Monday there are inter house competitions so far, we’ve had dodgeball in the stadium and board games in the library.

Mentor group is a great place to chill out and relax and talk about our situations without being judged.

On Tuesdays we have a weekly quiz and the mentor group that wins at the end of the term has a pizza party at the end of the term.

Mr. Meagher likes how all the year levels are mixed in one big group and has the chance to make brand new friends in different year levels.

And sometimes we get special videos from our school leaders to teach and demonstrate the school values of curiosity, compassion and community.

Mr. Chappell thinks that mentor group is a great hangout space to relax and get for 1st and 2nd period, but he thinks that students must remember the mentor group goals.

Mentor group in my opinion is fun and great to learn and to grow as people and extend our knowledge of the school and everyone in it.
