Hari Indonesia Cultural Day celebration

On Wednesday, the 10th of May, we celebrated our annual Indonesian Cultural day with about 130 Grade 5/6 students from the local primary schools participating in this whole day event. Students learnt about Indonesian language and culture. Heathmont College senior Indonesian students helped to run the workshop teaching sessions on mask making, traditional dances, pencak silat martial arts and takraw kick ball. Students were served delicious lunch of nasi goreng and mix salad prepared onsite. The day ended with the primary school students showcasing their dance, kick ball and martial arts talents! Students also took home wonderful Indonesian masks which they made. It was a truly amazing day!
