Dresses for the Drought 

 

Thank you very much to all the students and parents who donated dresses.  We will be sending all the dresses to the charity.

Bendigo School Bus Program

 

A friendly reminder to families who have applied for the School Bus Program to please accept their 2023 offers.  We currently have 700 applicants Bendigo-wide that are yet to accept their 2023 country bus travel offers.

 

To secure a place, we encourage families to accept their offers, even if changes are required.  Requests for a change can then be emailed via the email below.

2023 Horseland Bendigo Interschool Dressage Championships

Rules of Competition

 

  • This Competition is affiliated with Equestrian Australia (EA).
  • This competition is open to all currently enrolled primary and secondary school students. Please supply a current EA or PCV number (PCV book must be presented on the day) on the entry form.
  • Dressage tests will be run under the Current EA Dressage Rules 
  • All riders must present at the secretary office before they compete on the day.
  • Whips are permitted up to 100 cm for ponies and 120 cm for horses 
  • Tests may be called 
  • All dressage tests are ridden in a 60m x 20m arena 
  • Combinations may enter a maximum of three EA tests. Two at the same level and one at a consecutive level (ie two prelim tests and one novice). Combinations may only enter two tests if one is a FEI test. (PSG and Inter 1 or one advanced and PSG) 
  • Primary classes are open to all students currently enrolled in primary school (prep to year 6)
  • Secondary classes are open to all students currently enrolled in secondary school. Intermediate classes are for students in year 7,8 and 9. Senior classes are for students in year 10,11, and 12. 
  • Elementary, Medium, Advanced, PSG and Inter 1 dressage classes are open to primary and secondary students. 
  • Primary Prep dressage are for children in the early years of primary school and are inexperienced riders. Please do not enter this class if the rider is graded higher than PCAV 5 or over 10 years of age. 
  • Horses must be entered in their correct EA dressage grade. Any rider deemed to be riding in an incorrect grade will be eliminated.
  • All riders must be accompanied by an adult. 
  • No riders other than those competing are allowed to ride at the equestrian centre. 
  • One rider per horse rule applies. 
  • Riders may ride more than one horse. 
  • All riders must wear currently approved EA helmets and boots at all times whilst mounted. Gloves must be worn 
  • Full school equestrian uniform must be worn 
  • Schools are responsible for gear check 
  • Riders to provide own bridle / saddle numbers 
  • If any event has to cancelled, prior to it commencing, due to extreme weather or any other unforeseen reasons, entry fees will be refunded less $20 admin fee to cover costs already incurred by the organising committee. If the event has to be cancelled after it has commenced, there will be no refunds. 
  • Dogs allowed, but must be leashed at all times. 

 

School Championships

  • After each championship points are allocated as follows 1st place 20 points, 2nd place 19 points and so on. If there are more than 20 in the class, those placing lower will not receive any points. 
  • The points from the four highest placed riders from each school will count. In the event of equal placings, the winner will be determined by the highest aggregate dressage percentage of all tests.
