Advancement News

Thank you

Thank you to our Alumnae community this year for your ongoing support for one another, for the community and for the School.

Thank you to those who have been frontline workers and have protected our community throughout this COVID-19 pandemic. Thank you to those who have volunteered to help those in need, and thank you to you all for staying at home when needed, to stop the spread of coronavirus.

The Foundation Board is appreciative of the generous contributions from the Alumnae Association and the community this year, in particular to ensure that Sacré Cœur families impacted by COVID-19 could continue their unique experience of a Sacred Heart education. The Foundation is deeply grateful.

We look forward to welcoming you back to the School in 2021 to visit our new STEAM building. There will be more information about how you can tour the new building early in 2021.

Finally, I would like to thank Melinda Adams and Alumnae Co-Presidents Kerry Bergin and Marianne Cassian for all their efforts in looking after the alumnae community in a very challenging year, and especially for their organisation of the virtual Mass of Remembrance.

Cor Unum Walk – Standing together while we are apart

Missing classmates, family and friends? What a perfect time to leave your mark on our history and unite together by purchasing your paver. Want to stay close to friends or family? Placement requests for orders of multiple new pavers will be accommodated where possible.

  • Celebrate student achievements or perhaps just the journey
  • Make a comment – For example

What can you do with two lines and 17 characters (including spaces) per line? Anything goes as long as it is respectful.

Through the purchase of a tax deductible engraved paver, the Walk provides an opportunity for us all to be part of our remarkable gardens into perpetuity. It provides a physical and distinctive welcome to our visitors and students as they walk to Reception from Burke Road. Contributions of our students, alumnae, School families and friends can be celebrated, and current and future students inspired for their own journeys of learning and life.

If you would like to be included in this permanent fixture in our remarkable gardens, please call 9835 2776, email or download an application form.
