2021 Blue Ribbons
We are delighted to introduce you to the 2021 Blue Ribbons. Madeleine Sophie Barat said,
“Your example, even more than your words, will be an eloquent lesson to the world.”
This key message is appreciated and understood by all students and reflected in the Blue Ribbon appointments.
Many of the students have links to the alumnae which we are pleased to celebrate.

Congratulations to Ava Bennett, Year 12 student and 2020 School Captain, for being awarded a Swannie Award from the Debating Association of Victoria. The Swannie Award, named after Alan Swanwick, a long time member of the DAV and a pioneer of debating in Victoria, is awarded to the speaker in each region and grade who has the highest average speaker score from at least three debates. Congratulations Ava on receiving this prestigious award, achieved in such a challenging year
Grade 6 Graduation
How wonderful it was to experience the joy of the Year 6 graduation. Students and teachers embraced the opportunity to celebrate this milestone with a special day of festivities. From Mass to a shared meal, an impromptu disco to the much-loved tradition of hat throwing, the happiness of girls and their teachers was a delight to behold.
We wish the Year 6 Class of 2020 all the very best for their journey into secondary school.
