As 2020 draws to a close we are mindful that many of our alumnae, of all ages, may have been faced with suffering and loss, for themselves or their families, during this
COVID- 19 pandemic year. We keep you all in our thoughts and prayers.
The year has certainly been different, with meetings held on-line and no opportunities to celebrate Class reunions, or other regular events, in person. Everyone is keeping their fingers crossed that there will be a return to some traditional “normality” from the beginning of the 2021 School Year.
The Annual General Meeting was conducted online on 28 October 2020 as were all our committee meetings throughout the year. This method has proven to be most efficient albeit lacking the opportunity for nuanced discussion.

We met with the Class of 2020, online, in October, and were delighted to welcome them as members of the Alumnae Association. We look forward to greeting them in person, at their first Reunion, early in 2021.
The Annual Mass of Remembrance was livestreamed from the Chapel on Saturday 14 November.
The fact that only eight of us could be in the Chapel intensified the feeling of loneliness, and isolation, which has permeated the lives of so many during this year. The recording of this Mass is available to watch HERE. We are most grateful for the time and effort given by the School Staff in order to livestream this significant event.
Our gratitude to the School Staff who have supported the Association throughout 2020. They made a big commitment to support the Association in challenging times, and in addition to all their work they were doing from home.
The School Principal, Mrs Anna Masters, resigned recently and has returned to her home state of New South Wales. Anna was an ardent supporter of our Association and we wish her well in her future endeavours. Mrs Adelina Melia-Douvos, as Acting Principal in the past few months, has shown exceptional leadership and as always, as an Alumnae champion.
We are indebted to our Alumnae Relations Manager, Melinda Adams, who has put her heart and soul into keeping the Association alive and active during this trying year; and the Committee who have zoomed into our meetings with smiling faces and a heartfelt commitment. Overall, we have had some excellent learning opportunities in finding different and innovative ways to fulfill our Purpose.
May you all have a peaceful Christmas and welcome 2021 with a renewed sense of hope and confidence.
