STEAM Building

With all the concrete now poured, some of the staff had a chance to look at the spaces and start the detailed planning of each of the areas.

Everyone was excited to see the size and variety of spaces and what it will mean for learning.

"The new spaces allow opportunities for group learning and working in teams. Group learning in the earlier years enables the girls to finesse their learning style ready for the senior years. The breakout spaces in the building are critical to team and group skills and problem solving in teams."
Adelina Melia-Douvos, Acting Principal

I am very excited to have new Physics labs. Physics was being taught in the same labs since the 1960s. The new labs in the STEAM building will also get girls into Science in new facilities from the start of their school journey." Caroline Brown, Acting Head of Senior School and Physics Teacher

You can see the building is starting to take shape with windows going in and bricks being laid.  We are currently still on schedule with a projected completion date of Term 1 2021.
