Year 12 Class of 2020

The Year 12 Class of 2020 has experienced a year like no other. They have displayed incredible levels of resilience, courage and strength as they have faced many challenges in their learning this year.

They will be the newest members of our Alumnae Association next year. We are keen to show them the warmth of our association and let them know what a special part of our community they are. They will be a "Sac" girl forever.

Procession of Lanterns

The Year 12 Class of 2020 became the 116th group to participate in the well-loved and time honoured tradition of the Procession of Lanterns.

It is an extraordinarily moving farewell ritual, which marks a rite of passage in the lives of our Year 12 young women as they commence their journey beyond Sacré Cœur. It has always been a beautiful ceremony with the altar in the chapel decorated for the occasion with many candles in the shape of a heart. This year’s Procession of Lanterns was particularly poignant.

We are immensely proud of each of our young women in the Year 12 Class of 2020. Whilst 2020 was not the year I ever imagined or hoped for our Year 12 students — or, indeed for any of our students from Prep -Year 12 — they inspired staff and students, alike, throughout this most testing year. Strength of character, exuberance, respect, kindness and a dauntless attitude stemming from compelling convictions as strong young women have been the hallmarks of the Class of 2020.
