Catholic Performing Arts Festival
It has been a busy start to the term in Performing Arts with the commencement of the Catholic Schools Performing Arts Festival last Thursday 23 July. Thank you to Mrs Hughes, Mr Poletti, Alexander T and Matthew G for attending the opening Mass and representing the College. This year we 75 students performing across 47 entries of bands, ensembles and soloists.

The Performing Arts Festival will run for seven weeks with students from all over the state taking part in performances around the metropolitan area. It is an opportunity for students to showcase their talents and hard work across multiple different categories.

This week we have had performances from our Flute ensemble and Guitar Ensemble at Don Russel Performing Art Centre. Both groups performed excellently in their sections and it was a pleasure to watch.

Over the next couple of weeks, we will have performances from our Jazz Band, Concert Band, Year 8 Band, Year 9 Band and various vocal and instrumental solos. The culmination of the festival results in our annual Best of the Fest concert, which will be held on Friday the 18 September in Oblate Hall. This concert will feature band, ensembles and solos that were performed in this yearās Performing Arts Festival.

Seating at tables of 10 will be available through Trybooking and we will advise soon when they will go on sale.
