Junior Soccer Team Opens Season with Determined Performance

The Mazenod Junior Soccer Team began its 2026 season with a challenging away fixture against Australian Islamic College Kewdale. Despite a tough start that saw the home side score two early goals, the Mazenod boys showed great determination and resilience throughout the match.

The team lifted their intensity in the second half and created several promising opportunities but were unable to find the back of the net, with the match finishing 2–0 in favour of Australian Islamic College.

It was a positive first outing for a new-look team, with plenty of encouraging signs to build on as the season progresses.

A big thank you to all the families who came along to support the team and to Mr Devon for volunteering to run the line on the day. The team now looks ahead to its next match in Week 4 against Cannington Community College at Coker Park.

Athletics Training

All students are reminded that ACC Athletics training starts next Tuesday at 3:30 -4:30pm. The preliminary team again has been posted on the gymnasium noticeboard. All students are encouraged to look at the list. If you are unable to make training or have any questions please let Mr Mason know in the HPE office.

Cricket Pitch Cover

Over the holiday period the College replaced the existing cricket pitch cover with a brand-new modern pitch cover. The College would like to thank the Parents Association, the Mazenod Junior Football Club for their generous donations towards the purchase of the new pitch cover.
