Arty, Eva, Arina, and I were lucky enough to progress to the Victorian State Finals of the Brain Bee Competition, an international neuroscience contest for teenagers from all over the world, which means we were given the awesome opportunity to spend a day at the University of Melbourne.

Our day began with presentations from renowned professors, followed by tours of the neuroscience laboratories and Anatomy Museum, before hearing from PhD students working on groundbreaking studies, many of which focused on fighting neurodegenerative disorders.

The food was also a highlight, with complimentary pastries and a pizza lunch included, and during breaks, we were able to explore the beautiful campus.

This was a very rewarding experience for all of us, so a huge thank you to Ms. Scaramozzino for organising everything and taking us on the day!!
