Soccer States for Sevens

Year 7 Soccer Team Crowned Southern Metropolitan Region Champions

Congratulations to our Year 7 Soccer Team on an outstanding performance at the Southern Metropolitan Region Championships! The girls were unbeaten throughout the tournament, winning all three of their group matches in impressive fashion. They began with a dominant 5–0 victory over Mt Eliza Secondary College, followed by a hard-fought 2–1 win against a highly skilled McKinnon Secondary College side. The team then secured top spot in the group with a convincing 3–0 win over McClelland College.

The grand final against Sirius College was an exciting contest, with MGSC claiming a deserved 2–0 victory. Imogen opened the scoring after a brilliant solo run before Isabella P sealed the championship with a spectacular long-range strike.

This fantastic achievement sees the team qualify for the SSV State Finals in early September. We wish the girls the very best as they represent MGSC on the state stage!

Intermediate Netball

Our Internmediate Netball team competed at the Southern Metro Regional level competition and put in a strong performance. By just three points they missed going through to the grand final.

We congratulate the team for proudly representing MGSC. Well done!
