Bonjour!

Students have completed the term with great posterwork on topics covered over the semester. These have been posted on the walls outside the French room for your enjoyment.

BPPS's Annual inhouse French Poetry Recitation Competition will commence in Term 3.

Students will be assigned a poem to memorise in French and present to their peers close to the end of the term. These poems will be posted on Seesaw at the beginning of Term 3.

This is a great learning activity to hone French authentic pronunciation. It also supports student in developing skills relating to preparation, experiencing and delivering effective public speaking with confidence and audience engagement.

Students will vote, using set poetry recitation criteria, and 3 finalist from each class will compete agains other class finalists to achieve overall placings. In composite classes students will compete against students in their own level only.

Prizes comprising of CL&S certificates, French books and stationery will be awarded early in Term 4.

Our annual French Day will also happen in Term 3. The date is set for July 21.

Students are encouraged to wear French themed costumes on the day and there will be 2 performances from Global Grooves on the day to celebrate all things French.
