House Participation and Carnival Highlights

This term showed some clear house strengths across both the carnivals and other participation opportunities.

  • Parkes was strongest in the junior carnivals, winning both Junior Athletics and Swimming, and also recorded strong participation in lunch activities and the reading challenge.
  • Gilmore showed excellent senior improvement, moving from last in Junior Athletics to first in Senior Athletics, with standout performances in field events.
  • Deakin was the most balanced house overall, placing consistently across the carnivals and leading participation in the community event.
  • Florey performed strongly in junior athletics and showed solid involvement in organised lunch activities.
  • Chisholm finished the term with the overall house win and maintained strong participation across several activities, particularly the reading challenge.

These results show that every house has areas of strength, and all contribute to the culture and success of the college in different ways.

🎙️ House Captains Podcast

We are also looking forward to an upcoming House Captains Podcast, which will give student leaders a platform to promote house involvement, celebrate achievements, and encourage participation heading into Term 2. This is an exciting opportunity to strengthen student voice and build momentum across the school.

🏐 Looking Ahead to Term 2

Term 2 will feature volleyball as the key house competition. This will provide another excellent opportunity for students to earn points, support their house, and contribute to the positive culture of the school.

We encourage every student to get involved, whether through participation, support, or encouragement of others. House culture is built through effort, teamwork, and pride in belonging, and we look forward to seeing that continue into Term 2.
