CAPAL High Potential and Gifted Education Primary School Tour

Throughout the term, a talented group of students from Years 7–10 proudly represented Kurri Kurri High School as part of our High Potential and Gifted Education (HPGE) Primary School Tour.

The tour provided an opportunity to showcase the exceptional talents of our students while strengthening connections with our local primary schools. This term, our performers visited Gillieston Public School and Kurri Kurri Public School, delivering engaging performances that highlighted the excellence and opportunities available within the CAPAL programs at Kurri Kurri High School.

Students demonstrated their skills across a range of creative disciplines, including vocals, guitar, and dance, performing for enthusiastic audiences of primary students and staff. The performances not only showcased the high level of talent within our school but also gave our students valuable experience in performance, leadership, and community engagement.

The tour has been a wonderful opportunity for students to build confidence, develop their stage presence, and act as ambassadors for Kurri Kurri High School. The positive feedback received from our partner schools has been overwhelmingly encouraging and reflects the dedication and professionalism of our performers.

We are incredibly proud of all students who participated and represented our school with enthusiasm and pride. We look forward to continuing the tour and visiting Weston Public School at the end of the term, where our students will once again have the opportunity to inspire future Kurri Kurri High School students through the performing arts.

The HPGE Primary School Tour continues to celebrate creativity, excellence, and the strong community connections that make Kurri Kurri High School such a special place to learn and grow.
