The Arts
Ms Monique McMullen - Head of Department, The Arts
Last Friday night, our PoPArts team hosted their annual trivia night in the JA Robertson Hall. As always, it was a fun-filled night of family fun and frivolity led by quizmaster, Andrew McMicking, for the 24th year in a row!
We were really impressed by the unique costume and table designs this year with the following teams awarded best dressed on the night:
Adult Table - Ships and Giggles
Student Table - Princess Crime Time
Our overall winners were newcomers, Happy Gappys and student group, Princess Crime Time. A huge thank you to the PoPArts committee for making this event happen - it contributes a great deal to our annual fundraising for The Arts faculty and we are so grateful!
A huge thank you to all of our Arts families and alumni students for returning for this night of fun!

Australian Honours Ensemble Program - congratulations Jefferson Dinnis
Jefferson Dinnis has been selected to participate in the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University Australian Honours Ensemble Program on trombone again this year. This will be Jefferson’s fourth selection for this prestigious music opportunity, and we are incredibly proud of him. This year there were 724 students who auditioned for limited positions in the AHEP ensembles - well done Jefferson! The program will be held at the Conservatorium from September 30 to October 3, culminating in a showcase concert in the Conservatorium Theatre.
