Health & PE

Year 7 PE
Year 7 students finished the term with a Soccer and Netball unit. Throughout the unit, students worked on developing their fundamental skills, game awareness, teamwork and communication. It was great to see students becoming more confident in game situations and applying the strategies and skills they had been practising. Year 7 students now look forward to Gymnastics in Term Three!
Year 8 Health and PE
Year 8 students focused on Softball Analysis, combining practical participation with performance analysis. Students explored the key skills and tactics used in softball and developed their ability to analyse performance and identify areas for improvement. It was pleasing to see how much our students developed in their softball skills over the unit and their ability to then engage with both the practical and theoretical aspects of the unit. Year 8 students now look forward to Gymnastics in Term Three!
Year 9 Health and PE
Year 9 students completed units in Fitness Programs and Badminton. During the fitness unit, students designed and participated in training programs aimed at improving different components of fitness, while developing an understanding of how exercise can support overall health and wellbeing. In badminton, students refined their movement, shot selection and tactical decision making, demonstrating strong improvement throughout the term. Students in Year 9 will now be moving on to Invasion Sports for Semester Two.
Year 10 PE
Year 10 PE students continued working through their yearly program, participating in a variety of physical activity opportunities within the local community. These experiences encouraged students to explore different ways of being active while developing an appreciation for lifelong participation in physical activity. Students have been rotating through Boxing and Self Defence, Lawn Bowls, Circus, Breakdancing, Pilates, Spin classes and SEPEP!
A big congratulations to all students for their effort, participation and willingness to challenge themselves this term. We look forward to another great semester of learning and physical activity in Semester Two.
