From the Principal's desk

Dear Parents, Carers, Students and Staff,
Welcome to Term 4. As we move into spring and enjoy the warmer weather, we are grateful for the opportunities this beautiful season brings for learning, growth and community connection. Please take a moment with your children to observe and be aware of the changes Spring brings and reflect on the beauty of the natural world around us.
We concluded this week with a wonderful school Mass celebrating St Francis of Assisi, a special occasion that reminded us of his enduring message of faith, simplicity, care for creation and service to others. This year also marks the 800th anniversary of St Francis’ Canticle of the Creatures, one of the earliest and most celebrated expressions of gratitude for God's creation. This significant milestone invites us to reflect on our responsibility to care for our common home and to appreciate the many blessings we share.
As we move towards 2027 we begin the processes of planning for a new year. There will be updates to staffing, class structures, school organisation and timetables. We will share this information as it becomes available. As we develop class groups we ask students to indentify a small number of people that they would like to share a class with (friends or good learning partners). We also invite parents to email myself on kdourley@stacbourne.catholic.edu.au with any placement information that would support your child's emotional, academic or social wellbeing. All information supplied will be considered in the placement of students but cannot be guaranteed.
As we begin our final term for the year, there is much to look forward to. Term 4 will be filled with exciting learning opportunities, celebrations of achievement, and occasions for students to continue growing academically, spiritually and socially.
Thank you for your ongoing support of our school community. Together, I am confident we will make this a positive, productive and memorable conclusion to the school year.
I wish all families a wonderful start to the term and look forward to sharing the many successes and celebrations that lie ahead.
Warm regards,
Kate Dourley
