Education Week

Next week we will be celebrating Education Week.  This year’s theme - Celebration of Cultures - highlights the diversity of our communities and the importance of every child feeling safe and welcome at school. 

At Hillsmeade, students will be given the opportunity to better understand our diverse student population by watching a video compiled by some of our student leaders, followed by a reflection and discussion.  Students will explore diversity in the classroom and also have the opportunity to immerse themselves in a variety of multicultural lunchtime activities over the course of the week.

We are proud to be a multicultural school community where diversity is not only celebrated but valued. This diversity enriches our school life and helps all of us learn from one another, fostering respect, understanding and a sense of belonging.
