🎤🏆 LHS The Voice – We Have a Winner!
Our 2026 LHS The Voice journey has come to an exciting conclusion, with Year 9 student Janussha Balasubramanian crowned this year’s winner!
Following the Blind Auditions in Week 6 and the Heats in Week 8, five talented finalists took to the stage for the Grand Finale in front of a full house in the PAC Theatre.
All five finalists delivered incredible performances, showcasing impressive vocal ability, confidence and stage presence. It was a very close competition, with just one point separating first and second place!
Congratulations to Janussha, who received a trophy and gift card, while the perpetual shield was presented by our 2025 winner, Callum Eade. 🏆

We are incredibly proud of everyone who auditioned and competed. Performing in front of an audience takes courage, and our students showed wonderful enthusiasm, talent and support for one another throughout the competition.

✨ September Soiree
Held on Thursday 3 September, The annual September Soiree was a wonderful evening celebrating the musical talents of Lilydale High School students. This intimate acoustic concert provided a special opportunity for students to share their love of music through solo performances, duets and small acoustic ensembles.
The evening showcased an impressive range of musical styles, with students demonstrating confidence, creativity and musicianship. From beautiful vocals and instrumental performances to the energy of duets and the rich sounds of small ensembles, there was something for everyone to enjoy.
A huge congratulations to all of our performers and teachers on the night. We are incredibly proud of the way our students supported one another and created such a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
A special thank you to our Band Captains, Mia, Oli and York, and Performing Arts Captain James, for their encouragement of others and their passion for music. Your leadership and support helped make the evening such a special celebration.
Thank you also to our families and community members who came along to support our musicians. What a fantastic night of live music! 🎶
🎺 NEVR Rookie Band Workshop
Calling all Rookie Band musicians!
Members of the LHS Rookie Band are invited to attend the Term 4 NEVR Rookie Band Workshop - a fun and exciting day designed especially for beginning instrumentalists.
Students will have the opportunity to:
- Rehearse and perform as part of a large band
- Learn new music and develop ensemble skills
- Improve their confidence and musicianship
- Work with experienced music educators and conductors
- Meet and make music with other young musicians from across the region
Date: Friday 23 October
Time: 9:00am–2:20pm
Venue: Ashwood High School
Cost: $18.50
Students are required to make their own way to and from the workshop.

MusoLoop is proudly made right here in Melbourne by LHS parent Joel Eade. Joel created MusoLoop to solve a problem he knew all too well - keeping songs, lyrics, chords, notes and performance resources organised without having to juggle folders, screenshots, paper and scattered files.
MusoLoop is a platform designed to help musicians, teachers, bands and students spend less time managing music and more time making it.
It’s a Melbourne-built project created by a member of our own school community, with a genuine understanding of the way students, teachers and musicians work together. Joel would love for the LHS community to be among the first to give it a try.
