Foundation – Art & Digital Technologies
Foundation students will continue exploring the world of minibeasts through art and technology. They will build their iPad skills, use age-appropriate digital tools to research facts, and create artwork inspired by the butterfly life cycle.
Year 1 – Media & Visual Arts
Year 1 students will continue creating stop-motion animations, this time featuring Picasso-inspired portraits. Through this project, they will explore how visual arts and media can be combined to tell a creative story.
Year 2 – Design, Media Arts & Digital Technologies
Our students will follow the design process to create their own unique sneaker designs. They will then develop advertisements to promote their products, exploring how media is used to communicate ideas and influence audiences.
Year 3 – Drama & Storyboarding
Students will develop drama skills through role-play, storytelling, and performance. They will create storyboards, bring their ideas to life through short scenes, and develop confidence, creativity, and collaboration skills.
Year 4 – Art, Design & Digital Technologies: Innovative Homes
Year 4 students will continue investigating sustainability and adaptable living through a future-focused design project. Working collaboratively, they will create floor plans and house designs that respond to the changing needs of Australian families and communities.
Year 5 – Media Arts: Filmmaking
Year 5 students will continue developing their filmmaking skills by exploring camera shots, visual storytelling, and film techniques. After planning their own film concepts through storyboards and scripts, they will film, edit and construct their final piece to present to the class.
Year 6 – Design Technologies: Human Dignity
Year 6 students will continue applying the design cycle to investigate ways of supporting people experiencing homelessness. Through research, empathy-building activities, and solution development, they will design innovative responses to a real-world social issue.
