Student Achievements

PSC Joint Regional Chess Champions

On Wednesday, 27 May, our PSC Chess Club students participated in a Regional Chess Tournament organised by our Library Technician, Gabriel Scheepers, in partnership with the Northern Star Chess organisation. We were thrilled to welcome 60 students from nine schools to our College for the competition.

Our Chess team performed exceptionally well throughout the day, demonstrating impressive strategy and sportsmanship across every round. Their efforts resulted in PSC being crowned Joint Regional Chess Champions alongside Mentone Grammar. Beaconhills College finished in second place, with Lakeside College placing third.

Our students also achieved excellent individual results, with gold medals for Sinsarut 'Q' Chitkanwong, Kanijigan M and Darren Chow. Mia E was awarded the Girls Silver Medal and Patrick Aoun received the Bronze medal.

Hrishav Ghimire and Brad Walker also received Credit Certificates. 

Congratulations to all of our competitors for their fantastic efforts and contribution to this outstanding achievement.

District Cross Country Champion

Congratulations to our outstanding Cross Country team for their success at the recent District Cross Country competition, held at Akoonah Park on the 19th of May.

A special congratulations to Phoebe Sollberger for becoming District Cross Country Champion.

Altogether, 13 members of our Cross Country team qualified for the Regional competition, which will be held on the 9th of June.
