Senior School

Happy Summer Holidays to All!
As we reach the end of another bust and productive year at Epping Boys High School, I would like to thank our students, staff and families for their ongoing support of all things Senior School.
Year 10 students have completed a significant year of transition and preparation for Stage 6 in 2026. Throughout the year, they have balanced formal assessment tasks with study skills sessions, the HSC Minimum Standard tests, Life Ready, camp and subject selections to finalise their last two years at Epping. Pleasingly, the majority of students have now completed their Minimum Standards. All students have been supported to reflect on their organisation, engagement and readiness for the demands of Preliminary courses. As they move toward Year 11, the focus remains on consolidating positive studies routines and responsible learning behaviours.
Year 11 students have navigated the challenges of Preliminary courses with increasing maturity and independence. This year included multiple assessment periods, the Yearly Examination Block, ongoing subject-specific demands, and consistent revision and time management. Many students demonstrated resilience as they adjusted to the pace and expectations of senior study. Semester Two reports provide valuable feedback to guide goal setting moving into Year 12. These boys have also completed their first Year 12 assessment tasks this term.
Year 12 students have reached an important point in their final year of schooling. The completion of the HSC Examinations marked a major milestone, providing critical insight into strengths and areas for improvement ahead of the HSC Examination period. Over the year, students have engaged in intensive coursework, assessment tasks, study skills support and examination preparation, all while demonstrating perseverance during a demanding schedule. It has been a privilege to watch these students grow and mature from enthusiastic and sometimes uncertain Year 7 boys into confident, respectful and resilient young men.
I wish all students and families a safe and restful break over the summer holidays. I look forward to your continuing support of the Senior School in 2026.
