Relieving Principal's Report

This term has been incredibly challenging and busy, with a demanding schedule full of important deadlines, unexpected changes and numerous responsibilities.  We have managed everything from yearly examinations and reports for all year groups to Year 12 2026's first HSC assessment. In addition, we have continued ongoing celebrations to recognise the boys' achievements throughout the year across sporting, academic, extracurricular and Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) areas.

I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to the Enrolment team, Wellbeing team, Year 7 Advisers for 2026, and the P&C for their outstanding efforts in making Orientation Day a huge success. Their hard work and careful planning ensured a welcoming and smooth introduction for our new students and their families. Additionally, we are very grateful to the CAPA team and the Speech Day team, led by Mr Kennedy, for their dedication and meticulous coordination in ensuring that Speech Day ran smoothly and flawlessly this year. Their commitment truly made these important events memorable and meaningful for our school community.

Balancing teaching, meetings, and administrative tasks has required constant attention and flexibility.  Despite the intense workload, the dedication and resilience shown by everyone this year has been truly remarkable, ensuring that progress continues and students receive the support they need. Thanks to our level of achievement and school success our growth will continue in the coming year.

Our greatest challenge continues to be our ability to effectively manage a growing school with limited resources, especially as we approach an enrolment of nearly 1,600 boys in 2026. Balancing teaching, meetings, and administrative tasks under these circumstances requires constant attention and flexibility.

As the year comes to an end and people begin to wind down and plan their holidays, I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank everyone for their hard work and dedication throughout 2025. Your commitment has been invaluable in navigating the many challenges we have faced. I would particularly like to extend my gratitude to the timetable team, led by Mrs Vrataric, who will continue working through the holidays to ensure our growing school operates smoothly in 2026. Their efforts to manage multiple moving parts and shifting goalposts—especially in relation to staffing, student numbers, and limited learning spaces—are crucial to our ongoing success, and their dedication is deeply appreciated.

Thank you to all parents for your ongoing support this year. Our focus remains, to ensure each boy is known, valued and cared for as we strive to produce fine young men that achieve their personal best and become valuable members of society.
