Maths

As we reach the end of another wonderful year, the Mathematics Faculty would like to extend our sincere thanks to all students and families for your ongoing support. It has been a pleasure working with all our classes throughout 2025, and we are incredibly proud of the effort, growth and all resilience shown by our lectures.
Looking ahead, 2026 will be a significant year as we begin implementing the new Stage 6 Mathematics syllabus. This update provides an excellent opportunity to refine our programs. strengthen our teaching practices, and continue delivering high-quality learning experiences for all students. We are also excited to welcome the Mathematics Growth Team (MGT) to our faculty next year. Our MGT Trainer will work alongside classroom teachers to further support student learning, target key skill development, and provide additional extension and intervention opportunities where needed.
Early next year, one of the newsletter articles will detail the mathematics class formations for 2026. This communication will explain the structure of our courses, how placements are determined, and what students can expect as they transition into their new classes. We encourage parents and carers to read this carefully and reach out if clarification is needed. If you have any questions regarding your child’s progress or upcoming class placement, please do not hesitate to contact the Mathematics Faculty. We are always happy to support our students and their families.
We would like to wish everyone a safe, restful and enjoyable Christmas and school holiday break. We look forward to welcoming new and old students back in the new year, refreshed and ready for another successful year of learning in Mathematics.
