Apollo Music Academy

 

Apollo Music Academy is opening its Private Music Studio at Drysdale in September!!

 

This is a huge milestone for the academy, allowing us to upgrade our facilities, equipment, and allow more students to learn more instruments.

 

We could not have done this without your support, and we will continue to develop the quality of our program as we continue to grow.

 

NOTE: Those having lessons at BHPS will still have their lessons here. This is just our outside school hours location.

 

 

When = Saturday, September 21st

Who = Everyone, all ages, all curiosity levels, both current students and visitors - feel free to bring family and friends!

Where = 6/4 Clarendon Road, Drysdale, VIC

Time = 11:00am - 3:00pm

We will also be organising a round robin of activity stations for all children (experienced students and new visitors) to participate in, possibly including:

  • Percussion Workshop
  • Interactive Music Games
  • Instrument Trials
  • Karaoke

There will also be a Sausage Sizzle and Drinks available for lunch and afternoon tea.

Lastly, we will also have a Raffle with many prizes at the end.

 

We cannot wait to share this new facility with you and the wider community.

We hope to hear you showcase some of your musical talent as well.

 

Surf Coast Century MELI Kids Run

The friendly 2.5km fun run on Sunday 22 September is popular with school-aged children, and parents jogging/walking with their families.

 

This year the event is being held in support of our charity partner Meli and the great work they do to support children, families and individuals in need. 

 

Meli provides Foster Care services for children in need in the Barwon region, including our beautiful Surf Coast.

Kids + Kite Festival

The Kids+ Kite Festival which takes place on Sunday 6th October in Geelong. This is our fourth year and we are seeing wonderful growth with over 1,500 in attendance in 2023. 

 

You can bring along a kite, purchase one of the day from us, or make one. 

We’d love to see the sky filled with colour.

 

The Kids+ Kite Festival is fully accessible and welcomes anybody and everybody.

Exciting Holiday Program at The Kidz Kitchen

The Kidz Kitchen is an engaging, hands-on cooking program where kids not only learn essential culinary skills but also explore healthy food choices in a fun and interactive way. 

 

Our holiday program offers a variety of activities that will spark creativity and instil a love for cooking in children. 

 

Our hands-on classes are designed to help children:

- Build confidence in the kitchen

- Explore different foods and cuisines

- Develop teamwork and communication skills

- Have fun while acquiring lifelong culinary skills

- Strengthen resilience through patience, problem-solving, creativity, and critical thinking

Artisticat Art Classes

We Offer Affordable Art Classes for Kids That Nurture Children’s Creative Potential

Jaq Grantford (www.jaqgrantford.com), winner of the Darling Portrait Prize with the National Portrait Gallery of Australia and Archibald People’s Choice Winner, founded the art school. She has loved seeing students thrive through learning art in the ArtistiCat art classes.

 

Lemon Drops Kids Therapy

At Lemon Drops Kids Therapy we offer a range of therapeutic services aimed at promoting the mental health of children, young people and their caregivers. 

 

We provide a safe, therapeutic environment to facilitate the exploration, expression and integration of challenging emotions and experiences. 

 

Our person-centered, evidence-based practice is guided by current research in neuroscience and interpersonal neurobiology and informed by attachment, trauma and developmental theories. 

 

With a focus on regulation and relationships we work with children, young people and caregivers to understand themselves and others, express emotions in a healthy way and heal from difficult life experiences. 

 

We prize each individual as unique and endeavour to meet the differing needs of our families. 

 

Lego Club School Holiday Program

Lego Club is a therapeutic, play-based program designed for neurodiverse children to work together building Lego models. 

 

This program offers opportunities for children to socialize with others who share a love for building Lego in a safe and supportive environment. 

 

Lego therapy is an excellent way to practice working in a group, promoting collaboration, turn-taking, problem-solving, negotiation, patience, flexibility, and imagination. Plus, it’s a lot of fun!

Hazy Tales - A place for beautiful things

Come be creative in the school holidays at Hazy Tales Studio.  You will be given lots of different ideas or come up with your own unique vision.  Not only will the kids have fun and enjoy getting their hands messy in the clay, they will also get something to keep from the experience.  

 

They can make their creations totally unique with any design and even add their own name or a friends or family name to give as a gift.    

 

A fab mixture of fun and creativeness to keep the little ones entertained in the holidays.  And not just for the kids – buy an extra ticket and make something yourself!  You my stay and watch or drop off.  

 

All ages welcome – please text if you need any advice on which class is better for younger or older kids – lots of different pottery and craft sessions available. 

 

The Clay Club has exclusive access of the studio during their time period.  It is a stylish light filled venue, with floor to ceiling windows & polished concrete floors.  We are tucked away in Drysdale on the Bellarine Peninsula, a short 20 minute drive from Geelong.

 

Rewilding - Kids Yoga

 

Designed for children aged 7-12, this 3 day program blends yoga, nature, and creativity to reconnect kids with the world around them.

Surf Coast Little Athletics

As Track & Field is included in the curriculum of all schools, we would love to develop as many young athletes in the area as possible and would be thrilled for your students to join us for the upcoming 2024-2025 season.

 

Our program offers a weekly competition as well as relays, combined events and regional & state competitions for those U9 through to U17.

 

 

Coerver Coaching Geelong Spring Holiday Camps

This clinic aims to provide an engaging and educational experience for boys and girls aged 6-16, focusing on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

Borough by the Bay

“Sea All Dolphin Swims, in partnership with the Borough of Queenscliffe, is excited to announce the “Borough by the Bay - Marine and Coastal Celebration,” a dynamic, day-long festival set to take place on Sunday, September 29th, 2024. Running from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM at Queenscliff Harbour, this event invites families, marine enthusiasts, and the community to celebrate the diverse marine and coastal assets of the Queenscliffe Borough.

The festival aims to boost tourism, foster community pride, and raise awareness of environmental conservation, kicking off the highly anticipated dolphin swim season. Attendees will have the chance to explore a wide array of activities that highlight the region’s natural beauty and maritime heritage.

Event Highlights Include:

  • Virtual Reality Marine Experience: Dive into an immersive marine adventure with our VR headsets, exploring the Port Phillip Heads Marine National Park.
  • Plastic Recycling Workshop: Engage with SOEL’s workshop to turn ocean-bound plastics into useful school stationery while learning about the recycling process and its impact on marine environments.
  • Family Fun: Enjoy a jumping castle, face painting, and a treasure hunt with exciting prizes, designed for kids and families.
