From the Director of Identity and Mission

Each year, St Mary’s College supports the Sacramental Program run by the Cathedral Parish. This year’s program began quite early this year with 10 students enrolled. Some of these are at various stages of preparation. Lessons are held weekly at school, led by Mrs Margaret Rootes, while other preparation is undertaken by the Cathedral team. We are also joined in our school classes by some boys from St Virgil's College. 

While the majority of the students undertaking their Sacramental preparation are from the Junior School, this year we also have two Senior School students involved. One of these students, Hal Cormack, in Year 12, will be completing an extra step by undertaking the Sacrament of Baptism.

We congratulate the members of this group who completed their Sacrament of Reconciliation at a ceremony held at St Mary’s Cathedral on Wednesday 11 March.
