Tips for a great start in VCE Maths, 2026

Here are some tips to help you or your student have a great start in VCE Maths in 2026:

1. Look-out for communication about Edrolo payment. This will be posted in the class Dashboard. For Mathematical Methods, Edrolo is supplementary to the textbook. For General Maths, it is the textbook.
2. You MUST have a Casio CAS calculator.  This is required for both General Maths and Mathematical Methods.  Now is a great time to pick one up second hand at a discount to the new purchase price (e.g. Facebook Market Place)
3. Students will be given homework for the summer holidays.  Completion of this work is expected and will be assessed early in the new year.
4. Build your homework muscles!  Frequent, repeated practice is the best way to make applying new skills almost auotomatic.
