Student Voice Council

By: Maryam Rodd

On October 28th, the Student Voice Council hosted a successful Breast Cancer Awareness event this term that brought students, staff, and community members together for an important cause. The event raised funds to support local cancer patients and their families while also spreading awareness about early detection and support resources.

Highlights from the latest Event

  • The atmosphere was upbeat and positive: Students had a good time while taking part in a meaningful effort.
  • SVC’s bake sale was a hit: Pink cupcakes sold out and were a popular way for attendees to show support.
  • Donations from students/parents and staff were amazing: Generous contributions at the event and through online giving will directly benefit cancer patients in our area.

The Student Voice Council thanks everyone who supported the breast cancer awareness event. Together, students, carers and staff showed how a caring school community can make a real difference.

Christmas Food Drive

As the holiday season approaches, SVC is running a Christmas food drive to raise donations for families in need during this special time of year. The drive will collect nonperishable food items, toys/books and toiletries. Students and staff are encouraged to participate and help make the season brighter for those who need support.
