Incursions and Excursions

VM Bounce Excursion
On Thursday 13th of November the Year 11 VM class went to Bounce. The VM students sorted out their own way there and booked in the session and figured out the timing and payment. It was really fun and we had the whole place to ourselves. It was good because it was lots of exercise.
There was a really fun part where we jumped off the platform onto the giant airbag. We did lots of tricks. We got free socks! We also enjoyed the McDonalds for lunch after. We wrote a recap text after for our VM Literacy class.
Year 11 VCE Physical Education
Our Year 11 Physical Education students enjoyed a valuable and engaging excursion taking part in a Pilates Reformer class at Potentia Pilates with instructor Caitlyn. After an introduction to the history and benefits of Pilates, students were guided through exercises that tested their posture, flexibility, strength and body awareness on the reformer machines.
There were plenty of wobbles, laughter and surprised reactions as many discovered just how challenging Pilates can be. It was wonderful to see students stepping outside their comfort zones and engaging with a form of training that was new to most of them. The session directly supported their VCE Unit 2 coursework by highlighting how Pilates contributes to health, wellbeing and lifelong physical activity. We extend our thanks to Caitlyn and the Potentia Pilates team for providing such an enjoyable, informative and rewarding experience.
