Teaching and Learning

Term 4 has been a busy term of assessments. The year 12 VCAA exams and the year 9 to 11 exams all ran without incident. The year 7 to 10 students also completed the PAT (Progressive Assessment Test) Reading and Maths for this year. The data collected from these tests will enable the teachers of 2026 identify the learning needs of the students in their classes. They will be able to differentiate their teaching at the students’ points of need.

The school has successfully transitioned into the 2026 academic year and students and teachers have already begun working on the next year’s curriculum. It has been a positive period of meeting new classmates and new teachers and setting high expectations for their learning in the classroom.

Week 9 of term 4 will be a week of activities for students beginning with excursions for year 9s on Monday and years 7 & 8 on Tuesday. The school will be welcoming the year 7 students of 2026 on Tuesday, December 9 followed by the parent/student information night.

Weeks 10 & 11 will see teachers collaborating to prepare further for the 2026 school year.

The final assembly for all year levels is on Thursday, Dec 11 and the semester 2 reports will be published for students and parents to access through Compass.

We wish all our families a happy and safe break during the Summer holidays.

Merry Christmas and have a happy new year!
