ALUMNI Update

We kicked off the first day back with two inspiring Alumni sessions designed to set a positive tone for 2026 and encourage students to strive for Optima Semper.

YEAR 11 | ASSEMBLY WITH YUNUS CELIK

The Year 11 cohort recently had the opportunity to hear from alumnus Yunus Celik, who graduated in 2014. Yunus shared his personal journey since leaving school and spoke powerfully about the importance of resilience and connection. He reflected on how these two qualities supported him through VCE and equipped him with the tools needed to pursue his career goals. His message offered valuable encouragement and insight as students begin to shape their own pathways.

YEAR 12 | RECENTLY GRADUATED ALUMNI PANEL

Last week, six recently graduated students returned to share their experiences with the Year 12 cohort. The alumni spoke about what supported their success during Year 12 and reflected on what they might approach differently if they had the chance again. They also offered practical advice on making the most of spare time and embracing opportunities as they arise. Their insights provided valuable perspectives and encouragement as our current students begin their final year of schooling.

ABOUT THE ALUMNI PROGRAM

Frankston High School is continuing to grow its alumni program in partnership with Ourschool, a not-for-profit alumni program for state secondary schools and the first of its kind in Australia.

By connecting with the alumni program, past students can provide career guidance and work experience opportunities for current students, establish scholarships and bequests, or volunteer in lots of other ways.

Ourschool is working with Frankston High to help these things happen by growing the school’s alumni community and coordinating the involvement of alumni in the school.
