Sun Protection @ ENPS

It's time to dust off our school hats!

As UV levels begin to rise, and in accordance with Essendon North Primary School's Sun Protection Policy, we ask that students bring their hats to school from Monday 24th August. This will help us transition smoothly toward hats becoming compulsory from Monday 31st August.

From Monday 31st August when our Sun Protection Policy is enacted, all students and staff will be required to wear a sun protective hat that shades the face, neck and ears for all outdoor activities. Students will be required to wear a school hat in alignment with our Student Dress Code, for example broad-brimmed, legionnaire or bucket hats. Peak caps and visors are not considered a suitable alternative. Hats are available for purchase at our uniform supplier PSW.

Students who are not wearing appropriate protective clothing or a hat will be asked to play in the shade or in a suitable area protected from the sun. 

Once enacted, this requirement will remain in place until the end of April next year.
