We hope that you all had a restful break and stayed safe.
Literacy
In Writing, students will use precise verbs, descriptive phrases and varied sentence structures to strengthen their work. They will explore different viewpoints and craft persuasive texts using convincing arguments, supporting evidence and persuasive language.
In Reading, students will use a text response checklist to strengthen their written responses and explore a range of mentor texts connected to our Inquiry unit.
Maths
In Maths, students will develop their understanding of multiplication and division strategies and facts. They will explore equivalent fractions and deepen their understanding of decimal place value. Students will make connections between fractions, decimals and percentages. They will also develop strategies for adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing decimals.
Inquiry
In Inquiry, students will explore Australia’s connections with Asia through trade, migration, education, tourism and aid. They will examine geographical, economic and social characteristics, analyse data and propose actions for a fairer and more sustainable world.
