Dear Families,
This week, Year 2 students continued to engage enthusiastically in their learning across the curriculum. In Religious Education, students explored the Mysteries of the Rosary and created their own Rosary keychains while reflecting on how prayer helps people connect with God. In English, students strengthened their understanding of informative texts through their learning about the Curiosity Mars Rover, while continuing to build their editing skills using CUPS. In Mathematics, students investigated mass by comparing, measuring and ordering objects using informal units and balance scales. Students also deepened their understanding of seasons and Aboriginal perspectives of seasonal change, while continuing to develop confidence using Auslan signs and short phrases. It has been wonderful to see students showing curiosity, resilience and growing independence in their learning.
