Career Expo

The careers expo is coming up soon. Students have received a permission form - can you please return this either in hard copy or via the Qkr! App. 

This is a great opportunity for students to explore a range of trades and tertiary options prior to a very busy year in 2027. 

All mainstream VCE students will attend. VCE-VM students are able to attend but need to notify their structured workplace learning employers of their attendance. Students who are undertaking a school based apprenticeship or VET on a Tuesday are not required to attend. 

Change of Subjects Semester 2

Semester 2 will start for all students in Week 10 of this term. In Year 11 it is common for students to study the same subjects for the entire year. However, we are aware that sometimes students have a change in their potential career pathway, or find that a subject is not quite what they expected. 

Next Monday students and guardians will be sent information on the processes and timeline for changing subjects for next semester. Changes will need to be approved by guardians as well as a member of the careers team. 

Please note that we are unable to make subject changes based on friendships or teacher preference. Unfortunately, some subjects are full or nearly at capacity, meaning some students may not get their first preference of replacement subject. 

We will endeavour to notify families as soon as possible once changes are made so new learning materials (stationary items, textbooks etc) can be purchased by families.
