Bailey Earns Her Therapy Dog Certification! 🐾

We’re excited to announce that Bailey, our beloved Cocker Spaniel, has officially passed her Therapy Dog Certification through K9 Support! This achievement came after a rigorous three-day assessment process, designed to test her temperament, obedience, and ability to work calmly in busy, high-pressure environments.

Bailey has been a part of the Sandringham College wellbeing space since 2023, joining her handler, Student Wellbeing Coordinator Isabella Farrar, in sessions with students and at key school events.

Over the past two years, she has put in countless hours of training and practice to prepare for this milestone — learning to navigate everything from noisy corridors to stressful exam days with her trademark gentle patience.

Now proudly wearing her brand-new therapy dog jacket, Bailey will continue supporting our students by providing comfort, reducing anxiety, and making school feel just that little bit warmer and friendlier. Whether she’s greeting students at the gate, sitting quietly during a counselling session, or offering a reassuring paw, Bailey is here to help our school community thrive.

We’re incredibly proud of Bailey’s hard work and can’t wait to see her continue making a difference every single day.
