September 8th - 10th, 2026
Warrandyte High School celebrated their annual Wellbeing Week in September coinciding with RUOK Day on 10th September 2026. Students and staff had opportunities to participate in different events as part of the week.
Activities were held during recess and lunch times for students as well as the opportunity to wear a splash of yellow to support RUOK Day?
Clancy (school therapy dog in training) was also busy attending classrooms for 15 minutes to offer wellbeing support via pats and cuddles.

I CAN Program
This term Warrandyte is hosting I CAN Network for an 8 week program. Selected students attend the program once a week and are learning about team building, self confidence, communication, positive self image and leadership.
ED Connect
The school continues to have our lovely ED Connect volunteers working at our school in Term 4. We have volunteers attend the campus on Tuesday and Wednesday during the term. They are assisting with supporting students in the classroom, facilitating an english speaking group with our international students and 1:1 mentoring.
Social Skills Girls Group

At the end of Term 3 and recommencing in Term 4, the Mental Health Practitioner and Disability Inclusion Coordinator are facilitating a girls group for a selected number of students in Year 7 and 8. The focus of the group is to develop self confidence, positive peer relationships and communication. The group meets once a week.
Social skills development is learning how we understand ourselves and others. It supports empathy and thinking about different perspectives and experiences.

Have you heard about Generation Next?
Generation Next provides education and information about the prevention and management of mental illness in youth to professionals, young people and the wider community. Our objective is to raise community awareness of mental illness through increasing mental health literacy, reducing associated stigma and positively influencing individual and community behaviour to improve the mental health of young people.
This website was developed by Educational Psychologist Dr Andrew Fuller and colleagues. It focuses on adolescent mental health and wellbeing. It offers regular newsletters, webinars and podcasts addressing ongoing issues facing our young people and their mental health. There are lots of free resources for parents and the community.
Manningham Youth Services is currently asking local families to complete a free survey letting them know who they can support local youth. Please consider having your say to support a local service provider.
