Finishing the Year Strong - The Importance of School Attendance

As we approach the final weeks of the school year, maintaining strong attendance is more important than ever. While the end of the year is in sight, there is still significant learning ahead, and every school day remains valuable.

Over the coming weeks, students will be consolidating their learning, completing outstanding assessment tasks and preparing for their end-of-year exams. 

Consistent attendance during this period is essential to ensuring students are well prepared, confident and able to finish the academic year successfully.

Following exams, our Launch Transition Program will provide students with an important head start on their 2027 learning. This is not simply an introduction to the new school year, but a purposeful period of teaching and learning where students begin engaging with their new subjects, teachers and curriculum. Full attendance throughout Launch is equally important in establishing strong foundations for success in 2027.

We ask all families to reinforce the importance of attending school every day, arriving on time and remaining engaged through to the final day of term. Finishing the year strongly is just as important as starting it well, and together we can ensure every student makes the most of the learning opportunities that remain.
