ART and TECHNOLOGY

Year 7
In our year 7 Food Technology classes students have been busy developing and expanding on process skills to make a delicious fried rice as well as working through a design process to create healthy pizza options.
In Systems Technology - Wood/STEM students have completed their truck designs and have now moved onto using the Xtool App to design a key holder using the laser cutters.
Art and Design classes have seen students finalising their fabulous Australian themed lino cut designs and we have now working on colour theory and exploring painting practices.
Year 9/10
In our Everyday Cooking elective students have been working through a design cycle to develop finger food appropriate to serve at a function and this happens to be the annual Art and
Technology Exhibition to be held on November 19th. They have been busy producing samples that have been taste tested and voted on. Make sure you get along to the show to try some!
Here's a flashback to our narrative pots made by our creative Mud and Fire elective students. They took inspiration form the Hermannsburg Potters - an Indigenous collective of Western Arrernte artists from Ntaria (Hermannsburg) in Central Australia who create hand-coiled, hand-painted terracotta vessels depicting their Country, history, and daily life. Each students pot tells a personal story of their travels and adventures, family and interests. You will also see these and more in the upcoming Art and Tech show.
