Grade 5 News

Week 8 is here and so is Spring!
The weather was perfect for our School Athletics Day last week, as well as our RRRR Day at Galen last Wednesday. Our time at Galen was a fantastic opportunity for our students to meet and work with other Grade 5’s, experience Galen’s facilities and engage in important conversations about being an upstander.
Our next excursion will be in Week One of Term Four when we head on CAMP!
A reminder for those who indicated medical requirements for your child, please fill out the additional form that has been sent home and hand this in with clearly labelled medication, to Robyn in the office, no later than Tuesday October 7th.
In our learning for the next two weeks, we will be continuing to study Amelia Mellor’s novel, ‘The Grandest Bookshop in the World’. If you’re planning a trip to Melbourne in the school holidays, and end up in the CBD, see if your children can identify some of the locations mentioned in the text.
Dymocks in Collins Street has some signs and information about the original Coles Book Arcade.
Next week is our final week of term.
We would like to thank our students for a fantastic term of learning and parents for their ongoing support.
We are very excited for Term Four!
