Principal's message

Gracious and Loving God,
As we come to the end of this school term, we pause to give You thanks.
Thank You for the learning, the laughter, the challenges, and the growth.
For the friendships that continued to develop, the lessons learned, and the strength gained through each day.
We are grateful for our teachers and staff, who have guided the children with wisdom and care.
For our families, who support and encourage their children daily.
And for our students, who journey with us in learning.
As we prepare for a time of rest and renewal,
May we all carry with us the joy of our achievements and successes.
We ask that you continue to watch over the Police people in our school community, keeping them safe as they work to uphold our law and keep our community safe.
Give them strength and courage during this challenging time.
Keep all in our community safe over the holiday break and bring us back refreshed and ready for the term ahead.
Bless our school community with peace, gratitude, and a spirit of cooperation and celebration.
Amen.
Dear Parents,
Father's Day
We had a lovely celebration last Thursday for Father's Day with breakfast followed by our Prayer time.
It was lovely to see so many dads and grandfathers here at school.
Thank you to everyone who was able to attend and also to our P&F group for their organisation.
Athletic Sports
Our Athletics sports last Friday was enthusiastically enjoyed by all.
We were again delighted with the response from parents popping down to the Athletics centre to support their children.
Our children compete in these events with such joy and support/encouragement for others, it is a delight to witness.
There were so many winners on the day in so many ways. We congratulate MacKillop (blue) team for being victors this year!
We acknowledge Gerard Nolan our sports/PE teacher for everything he does to prepare the students for the sports through his PE sessions as well as putting in so much organisation behind the scenes to ensure the event runs smoothly.
Thanks also to our staff who are behind Gerard 100% ensuring the day is a great one for everyone.
Principal Leave
I will be on leave for the last week of term until the fourth week back in term 4.
During this time Kate Bean will be in the role of Principal and Colleen McIntosh will assume the role of Deputy. Kate is an amazing deputy and is highly regarded in our diocese, she is more than capable of running the school.
I will be walking the St. Francis Way through the Italian countryside and spending time in Rome for the Jubilee Year.
Grandparents Day
The Foundation Grandparent's special day is Wednesday, this day highlights the special role grandparents play in the lives of our children.
End of term
Term 3 finishes next Friday at 2.20pm, it's been a short but very full term.
We wish everyone a happy and safe holiday.
