Cinderella 

Macleod College proved again that the Performing Arts are truly thriving! Cinderella was a fabulous endeavour in humour and craftsmanship. What an amazing opportunity this was for all our students. Taking on all facets of theatre, students undertook both crew and cast roles. Shining a spotlight on true leadership were our fabulous crew, with special congratulations to Stella as Stage Manager, Violet as Lighting Director, Luke as Musical Director, and Jack as Sound Technician. Well done to all. We will continue our Theatre studies in Term 4, with a Drama Club running on Wednesday afternoons for those interested. 

Soul Sonics Workshop

Our Primary Instrumental Students spent the day discovering sounds and workshopping them into original compositions. Students were able to use Ableton Live to electronically produce. The goal of the day was for students to record sounds around their school environment and create a musical composition using those sounds, which are then uploaded to the internet and shared with the world!

Victorian Schools Music Festival- Big Band 

Big Band participated in the Victorian Schools Music Festival and performed well. 

Year 8 Battle of the Bands

What a sensational performance by all. Special thanks to Mr Pannacio and Mr Crowe for adjudicating the sessions. Well done to the winners, Zombie, Viva la Vida, and Riptide. 

Congratulations

Special congratulations to Mackenzie Hawkins, who has been offered early entry into Melbourne University to study a Bachelor of Music Performance (clarinet).
