Senior Leadership News

It has a been a busy and successful Term One for the Senior Leadership Team. Our first big event of the year was celebrating International Women’s Day. Our two school captains Bethanie and Rylee, as well as Miss Kracht and Mrs Martin, attended the Camden International Women’s Day Gala.  Edwina Bartholomew gave an inspiring speech about her life and the night was enjoyed by all. Following this, the team raised $513 for a local women’s shelter by holding an amazing bake sale where many delicious treats were sold and enjoyed.

Bethanie, Rylee and Miss Kracht attended the NSW Parliament Leadership Day. This included a visit to NSW Parliament House interacting with the states Members of Parliament hearing about their experiences of leadership. They spent the afternoon taking a tour of Government House and meeting NSW’s Governor, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley. It was an insightful and inspiring day. Bethanie and Rylee took away many important leadership lessons.

The Year 11 Prefect Team attended the Halogen National Young Leaders Day in Sydney. They were treated to speeches and advice from Chris Minns (Premier of NSW), Catherine Lagaʻaia (Moana actress in the upcoming live action), Emma McKeon (Australia’s  most successful Olympian) and Nikhil Autar (Australia’s 2024 Young Australian of the Year). The team were lucky enough to ask many questions and take multiple photos with these great leaders.

The Senior Leadership Team are excited for another busy Term Two and have many plans and events to come.
