Principal's Report

It is with pleasure that I announce I will be continuing as Relieving Principal for Term 2. I am excited to continue working alongside our dedicated staff and wonderful students as we embark on another productive term.
This term, we have been diligently completing our Annual Report and finalising the School Excellence Plan. These documents are essential as they outline our achievements and goals, ensuring we maintain a high standard of education for our students. I am pleased to inform you that the School Excellence Plan will be published on our website at the end of this term, allowing you to gain insights into our strategic direction and priorities.
As we move forward, I want to emphasise the importance of collaborative, respectful communication. It is crucial that we all adhere to the Department of Education School Community Charter, which guides us in fostering a positive and inclusive environment for everyone in our school community. If parents are concerned about their child’s wellbeing, they need to request a meeting so that the issues can be identified and resolved. The school needs to work together with families to access services within and beyond the school to support child wellbeing and address issues that may be occurring inside school grounds.
Our students will be representing our school at the Camden and Royal Easter Shows, participating in Alpaca Showmanship and poultry events. Participation in these shows provide a wonderful opportunity for our students to demonstrate their skills and knowledge in Agriculture. In support of our Agriculture teachers and students, our staff have been proudly wearing country-themed clothing, showing our collective enthusiasm and encouragement for their hard work and dedication in preparing for these significant events. We look forward to celebrating and showcasing their achievements.
I am excited to announce that there will be a Meet the Teacher BBQ for Year 7 students and their parents on Tuesday, 6th May, from 3:00 to 4:00 PM. This informal gathering will provide a great opportunity for families to connect with teachers, ask questions, and get to know each other before Parent Teacher Night. We encourage all Year 7 families to join us for this enjoyable event as we celebrate the start of their high school journey.
I would like to remind all parents that the Parent Teacher Night for Years 7, 11, and 12 will be held on Tuesday, 6th May. This is a valuable opportunity for parents to meet with teachers and discuss their child's progress and achievements. Appointments can be easily booked through the Parent Portal. I encourage all parents to take part in this important event to foster a strong partnership in supporting our students' education.
As we approach the end of the term, I would like to wish all students and their families a safe and enjoyable holiday. This is a wonderful time to relax and recharge, and I hope everyone takes the opportunity to spend quality time together. I look forward to welcoming everyone back in Term 2 for new learning experiences and opportunities.
