ANZAC Day

Anzac Day at CPS

In the week leading up to ANZAC Day, all classes at Craigieburn Primary School took part in learning activities to understand the significance of World War I and the ANZAC tradition. Each class created a commemorative wreath as part of their reflections, using symbols such as poppies and rosemary to show respect and remembrance.

On Thursday 24th April, the whole school came together for a formal ANZAC Day assembly. Students listened to the Ode, observed a minute of silence, and respectfully laid their class wreaths at our school’s memorial display. On ANZAC Day, 25th April, our school captains proudly represented Craigieburn Primary at the Craigieburn War Memorial, where they laid a school wreath during the community service. We are incredibly proud of our students for the respectful and thoughtful way they honoured the ANZACs. Lest we forget.
