Dance Concert

Our whole school Dance Concert Dancing through the Decades was held on Monday 12 and Tuesday 13 May.
Reflections from Year 2
There was a mixture of nerves and excitement amongst the students leading up to the Dance Concert. They put so much hard work into practising and that certainly came through on their concert nights. Some reflections from our Year 2 students are:
Shiu - My favourite part was going on the stage and playing in the waiting area. I felt happy and great.
Maxen - My favourite part was dancing on the stage and I want to do it again!
Pio - My favourite part was the finale because I liked the music. I’m very focussed.
Cody - I thought I was a bit nervous at the start, and then when I got into it I was starting to get more confident. My favourite part was when I threw the microphone and the audience was really good. I liked it.
Martin - I felt nervous about the dance concert because there were 500 people watching.
Yuna - I felt nervous when we started and when we got to our positions, I took a big breath and felt more confident. When we started dancing it was a bit too fast, so I just kept up and then everything went good.
Sam - Before the concert I felt nervous. I felt nervous and scared about getting a move wrong. After, I felt proud of myself. My favourite dance was Tutti Frutti.
Ayaan - Before the dance concert I felt like I was going to explode because I was feeling all the emotions at once. My favourite part was when the Grade 3’s and 4’s did it. After the dance concert I felt proud of myself.
Lois - Before the concert I felt excited. On the stage I didn’t know what was going on, I was just dancing. After, I felt satisfied. I liked all of the dances.
Owen - Before I felt shy and I was hiding behind Dia, but I moved a bit. After, I felt happy. My favourite part was the finale.
Ayush - Before the concert I felt nervous. After the concert I felt relieved. My favourite part was the finale when everyone came on the stage.
Viola - When I got there I felt excited and a bit nervous, but when I started dancing I felt pretty excited. When we did the finale, ‘Shake It Off’ was my favourite song. My favourite bit was dancing in front of loads of people and I liked to do the finale because I saw my parents and my Mum waving to me.
