Sayembara Lisan Indonesian Speaking Competition

Sayembara Lisan is an annual Indonesian speaking competition that is held every year between schools in Victoria. Over the past few years, our school has consistently participated in the competition, achieving excellent results with our students placing in the top three positions each year.

Prior to the competition, we held an audition session for Year 1 to Year 6 students who expressed interest in participating. A total of 81 students took part in this year's auditions, and the following 33 students were selected to represent the school in the first round of the competition.

These students attended the first round of Sayembara Lisan on 23 and 27 May. Over the past few weeks, they had been diligently practising their materials both at school and at home. On the day of the competition, they demonstrated their Indonesian-speaking skills and gave their best performances.

The final round of the competition will take place on Saturday 14 June at Melbourne High School. The names of the students advancing to the final round will be announced in the coming days.

Well done to everyone who took part in the first round. Your enthusiasm for learning and your willingness to challenge yourselves are truly commendable and something to be proud of.
